New to SLAA?

You don’t have to figure it all out today

If something about your relationships, romantic obsession, sexual behavior, or avoidance of intimacy feels out of control, you’re welcome to explore.

What is SLAA?

Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous is a Twelve Step fellowship for people who want freedom from patterns that are hurting them.

People come for many reasons: romantic obsession, emotional dependency, compulsive sexual behavior, fantasy, repeated painful relationships, or avoiding closeness altogether. You decide for yourself whether you identify.

A gentle place to start

How do I know if SLAA is right for me?

You don’t need to choose a label or make a big commitment. Try a few of these and notice what feels familiar.

Take the 40 Questions

Use SLAA’s self-assessment questions as a private reflection tool. They are not a medical diagnosis.

What happens in a meeting?

Meetings are places to listen and share with people who understand. You may hear readings, members speaking about their experience, and information about the Twelve Steps.

  • You may listen without sharing.
  • Members usually use first names only.
  • No one else decides whether you belong.
  • Members are asked to protect one another’s anonymity.
Nervous about your first meeting?
That is completely normal. You can arrive quietly, keep your camera off if the meeting allows it, and simply listen.

Interested in a women’s Balkan meeting?

It isn’t open yet. We’re gathering women who may want to help form a private, English-speaking SLAA meeting on Zoom.

Looking for another meeting format?

Men and people interested in a mixed meeting may also get in touch. If several people want the same kind of meeting, I can connect them with permission.
